Reporting Abuse

We treat all abuse reports concerning AccountsUp's website and client portal seriously and are committed to investigating every violation reported to us.

If you come across content, activity, or communication on or through www.accountsup.in that you believe violates our Terms of Service, please report it to us. After you submit a report, we will investigate and take appropriate action. We will get back to you only if we need additional details or have further information to share. We may close a report without a response if we determine that the reported instance does not amount to a violation.

Types of Abuse

We classify abuse into the following categories:

1. Spam, Malware and Phishing

Users are prohibited from using AccountsUp's website, client portal, or communication channels to send "junk mail," "spam," chain letters, phishing attempts, or unsolicited mass communications. An example of phishing is an email or message impersonating AccountsUp and asking you to reveal your card, bank, PAN, or Aadhaar details in exchange for a refund, prize, or urgent account action.

2. Promotes Hatred, Violence or Illegal/Offensive Activities

Transmitting or publishing content that (i) is unlawful, illegal, hateful, or promotes discrimination or hatred based on ethnicity, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics, or (ii) defames, abuses, harasses, stalks, threatens, or otherwise violates the privacy or legal rights of others, is strictly prohibited on our platforms and in communications with our team.

3. Sexually Explicit Material

We do not permit users to publish, upload, or transmit sexually explicit or adult content using AccountsUp's website, portal, or any associated communication channel.

4. Child Exploitation

We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any content that exploits children. We will immediately terminate the account of any user found sharing or publishing child abuse content, and will report the content and the individual to law enforcement authorities.

5. Misuse of Personal and Confidential Information

Given the nature of our accounting, GST, tax, and advisory services, we handle sensitive personal and financial information as a matter of course for legitimate client engagements. However, we do not permit:

• Publishing or sharing another person's or entity's personal or confidential information (e.g., full name, PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, address, phone number) without their explicit consent and outside a legitimate service engagement;
• Uploading documents or data to our portal that you are not authorized to possess or share;
• Any attempt to access another client's account, documents, or financial records without authorization.

6. Impersonation and Fraudulent Use of Our Name

We do not permit any person or entity to impersonate AccountsUp, our staff, or our brand — including creating fake profiles, websites, or communications claiming to be an "AccountsUp office," "authorized branch," or representative — in order to solicit clients, fees, or personal/financial information.

7. Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement occurs when someone other than the rights holder copies the protected "expression" of a work — for example, reproducing our website content, templates, or materials without authorization. If you discover copyright infringement involving your work on our website or portal, please report it to us with sufficient detail (a description of the work, its location, and your ownership) so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. Other Violations

If you believe you have a violation to report that does not fall within the categories above — including suspected fraud, unauthorized filings, or misuse of our services for illegal financial activity — you may still report it. Please provide a clear description of the issue so we can investigate appropriately.

What Happens After You Report

We review every report submitted in good faith. Depending on the severity, we may issue a warning, suspend or terminate the account/access involved, remove the offending content, and/or report the matter to the relevant law enforcement or regulatory authority (including, where applicable, cybercrime authorities in India).

We may close a report without further correspondence if we determine no violation occurred, but you're welcome to provide additional information if you disagree with that outcome.
